A dear person we know and love is a member of the Society of Friends, also known as Quakers. Lisa is a source of fun, laughter, comfort, and joy. She introduced us to many interesting people. Her generosity is unbounded. Her stories are wonderful. She lives the qualities of peace, community, equality, love, integrity, simplicity, and stewardship. We are blessed with her in our lives. This was for her.

Asian Scene
A picture I saw recently on TV inspired this drawing. I wanted to play with depth of field and use charcoal pencils for darker blacks. Water color pencils completed the scene.
Making a Face
I used a photograph of a face to create this version in Photoshop Elements. It was used as the subject to draw.
More Than Just Stick Figures
I drew a lot of stick people on the chalkboard to illustrate physics topics in my classroom. I enjoyed posing those skinny characters. The students seemed to like them.
I wondered if I could draw more realistic things. What techniques would help me do that? I enrolled in a drawing class from Craftsy to find out.
